It is with profound sadness that we share that Carlisle Local Schools will be closed on Monday, March 9, 2026, as we pause as a district to honor the life and memory of Jovetta Wysong.
The loss of someone who has meant so much to members of our school community is never easy. Jovetta touched the lives of many through her kindness, presence, and the relationships she built with students, staff, and families. As a school community, we believe it is important to take time to come together, reflect, and support one another during moments like this.
Family and friends may visit on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 10:30 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 PM at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown, Ohio 45005.
Our hope is that this time allows the entire Carlisle community; staff, students, and families the opportunity to attend the services, honor Jovetta’s life, share memories, and surround the Wysong family with the love and support that defines the Carlisle community.
In times of loss, we are reminded that a school district is far more than buildings and classrooms...it is a family. Please continue to keep the Wysong family in your thoughts as we remember Jovetta and the impact she made on so many lives.
