Posted on: March 19, 2026
250th Anniversary

Dear Carlisle Staff and Community Groups,

The 250th Anniversary of our nation’s independence is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone and the City of Carlisle, City of Franklin and Franklin Township are planning a historic Fourth of July Parade to celebrate!

The planning committee is inviting all school staff, student groups, clubs, and community organizations to participate.  Walk, ride, perform, or create a float.  No group is too big or too small.  This is a unique opportunity to show your Carlisle pride, celebrate our shared community, and create lasting memories.

 Why join?

  • Celebrate our history and community spirit across Carlisle, Franklin, and Franklin Township
  • Showcase your group to the entire region
  • Make this once-in-a-lifetime parade unforgettable

The parade kicks off at 10:00 AM on July 4th.  The route begins on Park Ave in Franklin, crosses the Lion’s Bridge, continues onto Main Street, turns left on Sixth Street, and ends at the Franklin Community Park.

Those who wish to participate in the parade can apply HERE:
