Ms. Amos Glow Games

Posted on: May 14, 2021

On May 11th students in Ms. Amos’ third grade classroom participated in a Glow Games. During the Glow Games, students were reviewing fraction concepts while having fun in a room filled with black lights. The day was filled with problem solving, perseverance, and excitement!

Students came prepared with vibrant white and neon colored shirts. They were given finger lights, glow bracelets, and glow glasses to participate in various glow in the dark activities.

Throughout the day, students rotated through 5 different math centers where they could apply their knowledge of fractions. After a math question had been answered, students shared their answer with their team and made any adjustments/addressed any misconceptions. Students then took a turn at one of the glow in the dark games. Glow in the dark games included Jenga, Connect 4, Tic-Tac Glow, Monster Math, and Ring Toss.

Students greatly enjoyed the experience. It was truly a day filled with learning, engagement, teamwork, and most of all fun!
