Boonshoft Comes to Carlisle

Posted on: December 22, 2020

By Amanda Miller,
3rd grade Teacher

Our third grade students worked with The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery in a series of matter explorations through Zoom. The event took place December 1-3.

The museum sent boxes to our students and led them in several hands-on activities to review the states of matter and to demonstrate physical and chemical changes. On another Zoom call, the scientist from the museum did live demonstrations of experiments to show chemical and physical on a larger scale.

The third grade teachers were so glad that the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery was able to adapt our annual field trip to a virtual learning experience that encouraged learning and excitement in such a special way.

As a team, we would also like to thank Ms. Katie Amos for organizing this series, and to our amazing PTO for making it possible for our students!
