TRANSPORTATION

Jeremy Theiss, Transportation Supervisor
Jeremy Theiss joined Carlisle Local Schools as a bus driver in 2019. In 2020, he stepped up as the district’s On-Board Instructor (OBI), taking on the essential task of training new drivers to earn their Class B CDL licenses. He also recertifies our veteran drivers, organizes safety training sessions, and somehow keeps up with the ever-changing transportation laws and guidelines—because apparently, buses don’t drive themselves yet.
 
In 2021, Jeremy became our Transportation Supervisor, where he now oversees the daily operations of the district’s transportation system with a steady hand and a sharp eye (and probably a clipboard or two). His 21 years of experience as a welder and machinist—making parts for school buses and semi-trucks—means he literally helped build the vehicles he now manages.
When he’s not keeping our buses rolling safely and smoothly, Jeremy enjoys life with his wife, Rebekah, and their three kids: Brianna, Jackson, and Alice.
 
The future is bright; the bus is yellow. New year, new adventures, same yellow bus! Buckle up—it’s going to be a great ride!

The following position is available within Carlisle Local Schools:

  •        Bus Driver: as needed

REQUIREMENTS FOR BUS DRIVERS:
* Drivers holding a current CDL with the proper endorsements preferred.
* If not currently holding a CDL the training will be provided.
* Willingness to drive daytime field trips (educational activities) and evening field trips
  (sporting events) as needed.
* Willingness to drive routes.
