Grigsby Intermediate School

Principal's Message

Thank you for visiting the Grigsby Intermediate web page. Grigsby Intermediate houses grades 3, 4, and 5. Grigsby offers the following specials classes: art, music, physical education, library, and computer lab. It is our goal at Grigsby Intermediate to help students mature academically, socially, and emotionally as they progress to Chamberlain Middle School. Our mission is to assist all students in meeting or exceeding appropriate grade-level benchmarks in the academic areas.

Students at Grigsby Intermediate participate in Response To Intervention (RTI) four days a week for forty minutes each day. We administer a diagnostic test called Aimsweb in the fall and then again in winter. This allows us to place students in the correct group for RTI. The primary goal of RTI is to provide extra help and extra time to students who struggle in reading and math. Students who are achieving at or above grade level in reading and math participate in extension and enrichment activities during RTI.

The entire Carlisle Local School District participates in early release each Wednesday. This time allows teachers and principals to collaborate and participate in professional development activities.

If you ever have questions or concerns, please contact me at 937.746.8969 or Thank you for your continued support of your child's education.
