Just look at those smiles; on the little kids and the big kids, too. More than 120 seniors at Carlisle High School went for a stroll last week called the “Senior Walk.” It is part of the Commitment to Graduate initiative started by CHS staff. Decked out in their caps and gowns, seniors strutted the halls of the elementary and middle schools, where tiny little kindergarteners and tweens alike clapped and high-fived them.
High School Principal, Brad Potter, said, “We just thought the idea really fit into our central theme that ‘after high school comes college,’ and we wanted those little kids to place a face on that dream. And so to see those seniors walk through the campuses, we just felt that it would be an impressionable moment for those students. The seniors felt like rock stars! You could tell how much the elementary and middle school students were enjoying themselves just by looking at their faces."
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLASS OF 2016!!
